Behold, not the cover of the exciting third issue of the Inscrutable Machine!
I think we'll make the Feb 8th full release. Edits are all done, I wrote the ad copy, formatting the text to be all pretty doesn't take TOO long, and I've seen the WIP on the cover, so that shouldn't be more than a few days. I bet if they pushed, my publisher could release the full book on Jan 10th, but my books are a big deal for them. I think they want to get a lot of background sales prep done.
I notice it's a green recoloring of the exact goggles/gears/workbench used on the first cover with just a blueprint/design-doc background added in red, but it's kind of a perfect "coming soon" graphic. I'm always impressed with a graphic artist who knows how to give something the right kind of impact.
ReplyDeleteI actually like the cover, all it needs is like all the club members in front of it with a massive sillhouette of Penny behind them in the classic "The world will be mine" Dr Wiley / Mr Eggman pose :D

ReplyDeletePossibly a silly question but I'm not seeing it answered on the site (I could just be blind, it wouldn't be a big surprise). When I check out the Amazon Pre Order I only see the Kindle version. Is a paperback/hardcover version coming or is it one of those things where if there's enough interest they'll start the presses? I'm an old fashioned dead tree reader and I love the books so I'm hoping for a paperback soon.
ReplyDeletePaperback is coming! They're just slower to get ready than the electronic version. Odds are good the paperbacks will be orderable by the time the book is officially released.
