CRIMINY, IT'S RELEASE DAY

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, buyin' time's here.  Most of you got to be beta readers, but for those who have been incredibly patient as my publisher derped around in a circle for five months, you can finally throw yourself off the edge of that cliffhanger and buy the final Penny Akk book!

Here is your Amazon link!

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C29767D/

I expect paper and audio versions to be very late, but I don't actually know for sure.  I will be checking up on it, that I can tell you for sure!

Oh!  Anybody who has already read the book, LEAVE A REVIEW, please!  Pretty please!  Those don't just encourage other readers.  Amazon gives nice advertising bennies to authors with a lot of reviews.

  3. Also: Quick question --
I have to de-DRM your books in order to read them on my 2008 Sony PRS-300, which means taking off the protections from piracy. I'm not sharing it with anyone, but I still want to know whether you're okay with this. Thanks!

  4. Now that it's here I for some reason am nervous to actually start reading it

    1. You can't leave Penny where she is!

    2. I don't want to leave her at all though!

    3. I'm picturing thousands of discrete Pennys (Pennies?), trapped in a robot body, isolated and betrayed by her power, frozen in time, each awaiting a particular reader to continue the story and give her the chance she needs to turn things around.

    5. Finaly finished. When I would get to the confrontations where she truly hated her self or the heroes were ready to kill her I would get so nervous I had to take a walk. Wonderful story. Sad she had to end it the way she did with her power

  5. They said I was mad to read the book twice in two days. Mad, am I?

HA! AH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

    Ahem.

    Amazing finale, sir.

  6. Very nice. Quite possibly my favourite entry in the series, though I always was a sucker for retro-futurism and space adventures... Oh, and team tiny was a lot of fun too... hmm.

Well, that's what you get for writing a series where literally every second book is my favourite. You get indecision.

  7. Ah, a thing of beauty.... a bittersweet day, and end to my absolute favorite super-series.

    1. I'm betting that he's got a few more stories to tell in this universe.

  8. Loved it. The ending was great. I just wish that I had gotten my confession...I totally was looking forward to Penny fessing up! I was imagining what her parents would say and what questions they would ask! But ah well, you can't have everything. Really great book though!

    1. They took it vastly better than Penny ever imagined. You may have noticed, the one thing Penny is absolutely terrible at are personal relationship confrontations.

  12. Any word on audio? I just started registering to the series, which should take a week or two depending on dedication. Any hope I can finish with Don’t Tell Me when I get to it? Physical reading is very hard! Would a kickstarter or something help? :)

    1. Aw, that's sweet. A kickstarter would not help, because it is entirely in the hands of my publisher, who have all the rights to negotiate audiobooks. I reminded them to talk to the audiobook folks, who have been very happy with my books so far and actually came to us once. Unfortunately, things have been wildly disorganized on my publisher's end and I have no idea what will happen. I did tell Emily Woo Zeller, who voiced the previous books, to notify me if she received Believe Her. She's a busy woman, though, so I'm not sure I can depend on it.

    2. Thanks for the answer. I guess all I can do is hope, or email Tantor questions. :) it is such a beautiful series. Listening to book one makes me want to play the video game they are so fond of. :)

    3. Emailing Tantor might not be useless. If they go to Curiosity Quills to request rights, CQ is unlikely to turn them down. Tantor did it on previous books, so they might be willing if they get fan prodding.

    4. I will look into it! Unrelated, I am in Moon, and am curious. The control squids she makes sound a lot like they look like rambutan fruit. Should the world be worried? :) https://m.wikihow.com/Eat-a-Rambutan

    1. I apologize you are completely right, so what is the forum to talk about the book?

    2. Sadly, I do not know. I have been wondering myself, but this does seem to be the only meeting place for fans. Maybe we need a subreddit or something.

    ..I bought Please Don't Tell My Parents I'm a Supervillain in 2014.
It has been 4 years. 4 years of constant rereading and theorizing.
It has been an absolute blast and an incredible read, and I can't say enough about how endlessly creative this book is.
It's been a great four years. Thank you.

    1. I'd like to know this too. I own the book, but haven't read it yet. I really kinda want Emily Woo Zeller to tell me how it ends. If we need to write letters, I'll write letters.
